Behavioral Health

Racine County Crisis Services provides a single point of contact for access to Racine County Mental Health and Addiction (AODA) treatment information and services. Crisis Services is comprised of the Crisis Services unit, Mental Health Mobile Response, and the S.A.I.L. Program (Stabilization, Assessment, Information and Linkage).

Health Care Network, Inc.

Health Care Network, Inc. is a non-profit agency providing free or low cost health care to residents of Racine County who are medically uninsured and have a limited income. Services are provided at the Health Care Network office by health care professionals who volunteer their time, offices, and skills.

STD Testing & Treatment

Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) are almost always spread from person to person by vaginal, anal and oral sex.

If you think you may have a STD, get a test from a healthcare provider. Some STDs can be cured using medication prescribed by a medical provider. Do not use home remedies. Remember! Many STDs have no signs and symptoms. Sometimes, the symptoms go away but the STD is still present. Make sure your partner(s) are tested and treated at same time to prevent re-infection.

TESTING SITES

If you believe you are infected with an STD, you must get tested and treated.

  • Many STDs can be cured. Others cannot be cured. But all STDs can and must be treated.
  • Many STDs can be treated with antibiotics. Do exactly what your provider tells you. Be sure to take all of your medicine.
  • You also must tell your sexual partner(s). If they aren't treated, they can get sick. They can spread the STD and even might give it to you again.

Well Badger MCH/First Step Resource Line

The Well Badger Resource Center is a health information and referral service. Well Badger is the new home of the Wisconsin MCH Hotlines, Wisconsin First Step, and Wisconsin Informed Consent Help Lines. Services are available to individuals from across Wisconsin, operating Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Assistance is also available via email, text message, online live chat, and online searchable database.

Wisconsin Well Woman Program (WWWP)

The WWWP provides preventative health screening to women with little or no health insurance. WWWP pays for mammograms, Pap tests and certain other screening exams.

Women Infant and Children (WIC)

WIC provides Federal grants to States for supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age five who are found to be at nutritional risk.
